Airbnb Review: What can I say, a cosy but spacious cottage newly refurbished, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. But best of all is the location, right on the side of the peaceful Brecon and Monmouthshire canal where you can sit on the patio and watch the boats gently passing through, feed the ducks all with the stunning backdrop of the Brecon Beacons. A ten minute stroll finds you in the centre of this quaint and bustling market town, filled with galleries, gift shops, a market and lovely coffee shops. A short drive away and you can walk in woodlands, by stunning waterfalls or even climb Pen-Y-Fan, southern Britain's highest mountain for spectacular views.
Sean and Lynne were excellent hosts really going that extra mile for their guests. We had a great stay in Duck Cottage.
Airbnb Review: Duck Cottage was everything we wanted it to be and more - would 100% recommend staying here! I stayed here for a weekend away for a family birthday in October and we were so happy with the location of the property - it was lovely being right on the canal and having the ducks visit every morning. The property was cosy and modern and had everything we needed! It is located almost in the centre of Brecon town which was ideal for supermarket and food places, and it was also close distance to some of Brecon Beacons best hikes!!
Sean and Lynne for provide lots of information on what to do in the area and were great in communicating check in/out and all the needed details.

Airbnb Review: Stay at this beautiful place if you can, you will not regret it! Superbly appointed with many thoughtful touches, it was fresh, clean and felt like home immediately. All that you could possibly want and neatly labelled, even all the streaming services worked with is not always the case! And that’s not even to mention the absolutely gorgeous duck friends you will make in the garden right on the canal - Sean and Lynne have even left duck food which was a lovely thing to be able to do. Quiet and peaceful it is just a small walk to shops, pubs etc. and stunning walks along the canal. Houseboats parade up and down the canal and walkers with their dogs, everyone was so friendly. Very highly recommended, thanks for your excellent communication Sean and Lynne.
Airbnb Review: Duck Cottage is a great find in the town of Brecon. A well furnished and cared-for property on the canalside with a view of the hills beyond.
Supermarkets nearby and other food options, as well as plenty of pubs and other amenities.
There are walks that can be started from the town offering views of Pen y Fan and Corn Du, and many other features of the Brecon Beacons are not far by car.
Thoroughly recommend for anyone wanting to explore this area of Wales in more detail whilst having somewhere nice to relax in the evenings.
Sean and Lynne provided plenty of information and were easy to contact and communicate with.
I think it very likely that we will return.
Airbnb Review: We loved our stay at Duck Cottage! Very cute and cosy, Brecon is lovely, we went on walks and everyone was really friendly. The fireplace in the living room really set the atmosphere. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with appliances and there was an Aldi 5min walk away. The ducks would come in the morning and we'd feed them oats and frozen peas. The garden was filled with birdsong. We had a lovely New Year - thank you so much!
Airbnb Review: Lovely cottage in an awesome location, very close to the town centre.
We were able to feed the ducks and hand feed a swan right outside the front door.
The cottage was warm, cosy and had everything we needed, with some lovely extras such as bread, eggs, coffee to name a few.
The kids also had a present left for them in the hands of Elfs on the christmas tree, which was so Kind of the host.
Everytime we messaged the host Lynne, she would always reply quickly.
I would 100% recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a stay in brecon.
An amazing place for a winter or Summer break..So close to Brecon town and Aldi's is a 2 min walk away!
